The Phoenix Open is the largest professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour and the Bird’s Nest is created in one of the world’s largest tents. The 60 by 70 meter tent is full of entertainment from January 28th to the 31st. The tent is under construction now and tickets are for sale for the annual event that goes beyond pro golf. Tickets start at 35 dollars per night and go to 30,000 dollars for the four night “cabana” package. If you are looking for a reason to visit north Scottsdale, and be a part of the Phoenix Open, this may be your ticket.
Now 75 years old, the Phoenix Open was first televised in 1973. People in the Midwest, stuck in the middle of a cold and dreary winter, saw what the desert can look like in the winter. Now most people know how awesome the weather is here in Phoenix, AZ, but if you need a reminder, today’s high temperature is 23° C (74° F).
